One of my favorite belly dance moves is the hip circle. It's ridiculously basic so virtually everyone can do it. I love how centered and grounded it invites us women to be.
Let's declare the hip circle our movement of the month.
For the entire month of May, each and every time you find yourself stressed, anxious, annoyed, or feeling a whole lot of not good, put on your favorite luscious song and get down and dirty with your hips. Get your body moving to at least one song.

If you want to forge an even deeper connection to your sensual sacral/second chakra, I offer a slight variation: separate your legs slightly wider than shoulder width and bend your knees slightly while circling your hips. You know you've hit the sweet spot when you feel good doing it! Close your eyes and get lost in the music.
Rate your stress, anxiety, annoyance, whatever level on a scale of 0-10 before you do your hip circles and rate it again after your song is complete. Move those hips for at least 1 song.
