Now a more personal touch...
I help individuals and groups unabashedly uncover what they really want personally and professionally by enhancing their confidence and authenticity through body awareness, body-based practices, and exquisite attention on desires.
I've experimented with the power of intentionally combining coaching, inspiration, and movement to do more than just achieve and maintain physical fitness.
As I taught various fitness and dance classes over the years, I found myself naturally coaching and sharing inspirational stories to help my participants and students activate a deeper holistic mind/body/spirit connection in their lives in and outside the gym or studio. My experimentation led to the creation of a personal success hybrid coaching model as well as The Danceshops(TM), both of which I devoted an entire chapter to in my first book Feel Good Kick Ass Confidence: Using Your Body to Rock Your Life. I just love what I do.
But life isn't without challenges.
One of my challenges had been finding my true professional place in the world, despite having graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. I bounced around jobs I was dispassionate about, knowing in my heart what I was naturally drawn to, but dealing with tsunamis of well-meaning loved ones, naysayers, the media, and my own self telling me “No, you can’t do that.” Add an eating disorder and poor body image on top of that and you've got a strong cocktail of deferred dreams.
I underwent deep personal transformation and developed the confidence to pursue my on-camera dreams and desires in acting, dance performance, public speaking, and appearances in fitness videos, including Richard Simmons' Tonin' to the Oldies 5 and Misty Tripoli's BodyGROOVE. I'm now excited to teach others how to develop the strength and trust in themselves to pursue and experience what they most want out of life.
