You thought it would have been enough to read motivational books, listen to Tony Robbins podcasts, and watch TED talks about setting goals and living your best life.
 
Maybe you have self-sabotaging habits that you thought would’ve been gone by now after reading blog posts and Psychology Today articles about ending behaviors like procrastination.


The problem? Even if you do get a good start after heading to a weekend seminar, you lose steam because you’re working in a silo and, once again, your goals to the wayside. Or..you haven’t actually identified a crystal clear vision for your goals to support, and therefore, are actually choosing the wrong goals. Or…you have a nice vision for your life, but you have no idea what to do to make it happen.
 
Listening to podcasts, reading books, and attending seminars (where you’re one of 200 people and don’t get one-on-one attention and support from the instructor) is a nice start, but it doesn’t give you the propulsion to actually make things happen.  We will meet in person, at Thrive Health Lab in Los Angeles, for 6 consecutive Saturdays, June 6 through July 11, 10:30AM-12:00PM and again for 6 consecutive Saturdays, October 3 through November 7, 10:30AM-12:00PM. We will be in the yoga room. As each session includes movement, it is strongly advised to wear clothing you feel comfortable stretching in.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I don't work a 9-to-5 desk job. Can I still join the group?
Absolutely. Your profession doesn’t matter. The most important thing is that you resonate with what you’ve read and you have a desire to get more out of life. If you feel that your life could benefit from joining The Rock Your Life Mastermind Group, you’re probably right.
  • Can I use this group to focus on a vision for my personal life?
Of course. This group does not place a limit on which aspect of your life that you focus on. You can address anything that’s on your heart and mind. Sessions 2 and 3 will guide you in unraveling, clarifying and claiming your life vision.
  • What do I need to wear and what do I need to bring to the sessions?
As every session incorporates movement, please dress in clothing you can stretch in, as if you were going to a yoga or Pilates class. Please bring sneakers as well, though we might also go barefoot for some movement sessions. You may bring a water bottle as well. We have a water dispenser to fill your water bottle. You are welcome to bring your favorite writing utensil, if you so choose; however, a small notebook and pens will be provided.
  • Will you be doing this group again in the future?
The Rock Your Life Mastermind Group will have two more cycles during the Summer and Fall of 2020 at Thrive Health Lab. But if you can join the group starting February 1st, then just do it. Procrastinating for a future date to do something you can very well do now is often part of the problem, after all. 
  • I was a member of the previous Rock Your Life Accountability Group and Coaching Circle. Can I join this one as well?
Yes! There’s no limit to how many times you can join the Mastermind Group. Keep using the power of the group to support you in expanding your life.
  • Will water and snacks be provided?
The studio has a water dispenser so please bring your environmentally-friendly water bottle for filling. Snacks will not be provided. Sessions take place late morning to give you time to have breakfast before and concludes in time for you to have lunch afterwards.
  • How fast can I expect to see results?
That all depends. So many factors come into play when it comes to manifesting goals and visions. I would not focus on “how fast” however, as that can trip people up. If something doesn’t work out in the timeline they had hoped for, too many people give up. It’s the ones who stick with it who eventually reap the rewards of their commitment. It’s not about “when” the results happen; it’s about the fact that you are making a stand to live a life that you love.
  • I’ve been in other accountability groups. How is this one different?
For starters, this group meets in a fitness studio and incorporates movement and meditation into the process. That, in itself, sets it apart from other groups. Second, this group is run by a Certified Life Coach who provides coaching in every session. Several mastermind and accountability groups are run by peers supporting each other, but not necessarily by a coach who guides the process and helps you uncover internal blocks to creating the life you want. Third, this group also runs like a course, in that each session focuses on a different aspect of the mastermind/accountability process so that you are learning as you progress each week.
  • Mastermind group, accountability group, coaching circle. So many terms. What’s the difference or do they all mean the same thing?
Here’s how one of my mentors, Julie Stoian, defines the difference between mastermind and accountability: “A mastermind is a curation of people who come together to creatively brainstorm and work together on a topic. A mastermind can be small or large, free or paid, though the high end versions have coaching, courses, membership components, and even live events or retreats. Accountability group is implied that you’ll meet on a weekly or monthly basis to help keep everyone moving in the same direction. Accountability groups are usually pretty small.

A coaching circle is distinct in that it is a group facilitated by a life coach or therapist for the purpose of providing one-on-one coaching in a group setting. The benefit for members not being on the “hot seat” is that they often work through a problem as the person being coached and because they are a third party to the situation, they can see in others what they wouldn’t necessarily see in themselves.
 
The Rock Your Life Mastermind Group Program actually incorporates elements of all three. It’s for practical purposes that all three aren’t included in the title. I mean, “The Rock Your Life Accountability and Mastermind Group Plus Coaching Circle” is a bit of a mouthful.
  • How often does “hot seat” coaching occur?
Every week members will have a chance to receive one-on-one coaching in the group setting. Hot seats will be timed to ensure that everyone who wants the attention will receive it.
  • I really want to do this, but my schedule is a little in flux. What if I have to miss a session?
Missing sessions is highly discouraged and will adversely affect group dynamic as well as your own progress. Due to the intimate nature of this group, maintaining continuity is crucial in establishing and keeping trust. It’s very possible that members will be sharing things they might not have voiced to anyone else. Attendance is part of keeping the safe space so all feel comfortable in letting their guards down and being open.
 
That said, if you have already booked something unmovable in your calendar during one of the scheduled sessions, please contact Valerie ASAP before you register to discuss a workable solution. Because this group program is only 6 weeks in length, if you know you’ll miss more than one session, it’s best to postpone participation until a future group cycle in the Summer or Fall.
  • What is Voxer?
Voxer is a voice recording app that allows people to leave, listen, and respond to messages at their leisure. It’s essentially having a phone conversation, but not in real-time. For the Pep Talk Check-In bonus, you will be able to leave up to 5 voice check-ins (maximum 5 minutes per check-in) throughout the course of the 30 days right after the program concludes on March 7th. You may space out the 5 check-ins however you like from March 8th through April 8th.
  • When do I get the bonuses?
You will receive the PDF and audio after completion of Session 1 and your commitment to complete the program.
  • Can I share this with a friend?
Definitely. It is an empowering experience to take courses and join groups like this with friends and colleagues.
  • Things aren’t that bad. Do I need to be feeling desperate in order to do this program?
